Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn here.

A Course in Miracles teaches that there are only two basic states of mind. Love and Fear. It says ‘what is not love is always fear, and nothing else’. It also teaches that in any given moment you have only one choice to make, which is either to be loving or to be afraid. Love emanates from a feeling of oneness and from the mind of your Unconditioned Self: fear arises from feeling alone, and it is how the ego thinks. Love is described as being natural; fear is learned. When you choose fear, love appears to be not enough, but when you choose love it can help you to heal every fear. Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn here.

“Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts. Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life. Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us.”

Love is an ability not an emotion

‘The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return’ ~ Eden Ahbez

Imagine this

One day, all the great professions will include love in their training syllabi and core values. Medical doctors will treat their patients with love, and psychologists will teach their patients about love. Physicists will teach us that separation is an ‘optical delusion’ and that oneness is reality. Biologists will teach us that the survival of the species depends on cooperation not competition. Architects and lawyers will help us build a society on love. And ecologists will show us how to love our planet more.

One day, the major religions will recognise a God of unconditional love, and they will stop teaching people to fear God. Never again will we go to war in the name of God. Theologians and philosophers, humanists and atheists will set aside their differences for the sake of love, and they will teach us that love is stronger than fear that only love is real, and that, ultimately love is the key to our enlightenment and evolution. And all the while the artists of the day will serenade and entertain us with their plays of love ♫♥♪

The clip below is of Robert talking about the book Loveability. You wont find a definition of the word Loveability in the dictionary…..not yet…Robert said if he is asked to help wordsmith the dictionary entry for Loveability, he will recommend something simple like ‘the ability to love and be loved’.
